FORT WALTON BEACH YACHT CLUB

WHAT: Smooth sailing as top-notch competitors set course for a head-to-head marathon around beautiful Okaloosa Island. More than 100 participants race a multitude of gloriously colored sailboats during the 21st annual event.

Sailing enthusiasts embark on a 100-mile race from the Fort Walton Beach Yacht Club, under the Destin Bridge, through the Destin Pass, out into the Emerald Gulf of Mexico, down to Pensacola Beach, through the Pensacola Harbor and back.

Spectators gather in watchful suspense on local bridges and gulf side piers to view the 100-mile endurance event.

WHEN: June 15-17, 2007
Beginning: Friday, June 15th at 5:00
Ending: Sunday, June 17th after trophy presentation @ 10:30 am
